Review of Fatso
Director Rajat Kapoor and producer Pritish Nandy and Rangita Pritish Nandy bring you rom-com ‘Fatso’. Staring Ranvir Shorey, Gul Panag, Purab Kohli in the lead, supported by Neil Bhoopalam and Gunjan Bakshi.
The story revolves around two lovers Nandini (Gul Panag) and Navin (Purab Kohli)who are about to get married. Before the big day, Navin and his 2 friends – the overweight Sudeep (Ranvir Shorey) and Yash (Neil Bhoopalam) – go out to celebrate. However, the fun is cut short by an accident on the highway that leaves Navin dead.
When Navin wakes up in heaven, he discovers to his horror that it was a clerical error that landed him there. The man actually destined to be in heaven was “Fatso” Sudeep, whose cholesterol is on overdrive! Navin makes a scene in the overcrowded waiting room of heaven and demands that he be returned to earth and to his loved ones. Now, Navin is sent back to earth and “allotted” the body of Sudeep.
‘Fatso’ is about how Navin returns to earth and has to woo Nandini all over again in another guise. But the trouble is how will he woo his girlfriend who thinks he’s dead, that to in the body of the roly-poly, unattractive fatso. Vinay Pathak and Saurabh Shukla appear in cameos.
The film’s story is written by Kapoor and Saurabh Shukla under the banner of Pritish Nandy. Purab and Gul Panag’s chemistry looks amazing while Ranvir shorey’s chubby character adds special highlights to the movie. ‘Fatso’ can be watched once.
